We will take your picked apples, process them in the same traditional way we do with all our products and then label them with a bespoke label showing where the apples came from.

Your Apple Journey – How It Works
How Long Does It Take?
Apple juice can usually be processed in a few weeks following delivery of the apples. However, if you require a custom label it will take longer. We get all our labels produced at the same time to reduce cost and this usually happens in January / February.
Cider takes longer to process as it needs to mature and bottle condition. Cider is usually ready by July / August the following year. Farmhouse cider, however, is usually ready by early Spring.
What Does It Cost?
We’ve put a little table together for all the various options. Cider is in set volumes as we have to have a fermenter that we can fill and seal. Apple juice is more flexible in volume as we can process it in smaller batches to make up bigger volumes. If you need help understanding the options, please call or email us. The most expensive part of the whole process is bottles and labels, hence you will note that if budget is a key factor the Bag in Box (BiB) option will always be more cost effective.
How Careful Do I Need to Be When Picking the Apples?
Care should always be taken when picking apples but especially when making apple juice. No bruised or damaged fruit can be used to make apple juice. We usually pick the apples we use for juice into baskets to help protect them.
For cider making the fruit may be bruised slightly but must not be rotten. We usually pick the apples and put them in string sacks which keeps them in good condition.
What Formats Do You Do?
We can provide apple juice in bottles of 750ml and BiBs of 5 or 10 litres. We can provide cider in bottles of 500ml, this is bottle conditioned and therefore contains some sediment and is sparkling. We can also provide cider in BiBs of 10 litres or 20 litres, this is farmhouse style flat cider.

How long will the Apple Juice or Cider last?
Apple Juice – we pasteurise the apple juice in bottles within 24 hours of being pressed. This keeps it really fresh and it will last approximately 2 years. However, in our experience it is best enjoyed within 12 months as between 12 and 24 months sometimes the apple juice will start to discolour slightly. It is still fine to drink of course.
Cider – our cider is bottled in a clean environment once it has fully fermented out. It will keep in the bottle almost indefinitely and improves with age. Some beleive that cider is best enjoyed within 3 years but our experience is that it suffers no noticeable decrease in quality beyond the 3 year mark. We even have cider that are 7 and 8 years old and still tasting great!
