Great drinks start with great apples.

Our wasted apples don’t come from the bin.

Some are garden gluts. Some hand picked from traditional orchards without a big enough market for their fruit. Some are perfectly delicious but the wrong shape for a supermarket shelf. And sometimes growers have beautiful, perfectly graded British apples ready to sell, and the market simply disappears.

We think every one of those apples deserves to be celebrated.

So we're building a different kind of apple supply chain, one that prevents waste, creates markets for traditional varieties and gives British growers another route to market for the fruit they work so hard to produce.

Stopping food waste shouldn't mean asking growers to give their fruit away.

  • 1. You donate them

Too many apples? We'll give them somewhere to go. People, gardens and communities across Cornwall donate their surplus apples to us. Sometimes they bring them to the farm. Sometimes we collect. Either way, fruit that might have fallen to the ground becomes something worth drinking.

  • 2. We pick them

Traditional orchards. Heritage apples. Worth protecting. We hand-pick from traditional orchards around Cornwall, working with an extraordinary mix of old, heritage and local varieties. We don't just want to rescue this year's crop. We want to help create a lasting commercial market for traditional apples, giving these orchards an economic reason to remain productive for generations to come.

  • 3. We buy the wonky ones

Great apples come in different shapes and sizes. British growers produce fantastic fruit that doesn't always meet the high threshold cosmetic specifications of the market. We work with commercial partners to give that fruit another proper route to market, paying for good produce and turning apples that might otherwise be wasted into great drinks.

  • 4. We buy the perfect ones too

Because perfectly good fruit gets wasted as well. Markets move. Orders change. Crop volumes don't always match demand. Sometimes growers can be left with perfectly graded, supermarket-quality British apples and no viable buyer. Where we can, we want to provide another commercial market for that fruit, helping eliminate waste, while paying producers fairly for what they've grown. This is as much about supporting British producers, as it is about stopping waste.

  • 5. We buy heritage west country cider apples

Great tasting products need consistency. Our ciders are exceptional, because they’ve been developed and blended by experts, and we use the best West Country heritage cider apple varieties to blend with our DNA moshpit of hand picked cider apple varieties. This ensures every bottle hits the same as the last.

Crafting great drinks

Before we relaunched we were determined that our drinks did justice to our apples. The
apples might reach us in different ways, but the principle stays the same.
