1. Reducing food waste

The problem is beyond comprehension, a third of all food produced is wasted globally each year, 1.3 billion tonnes of it! (The UK contributes approximately 10 million tonnes per year). But that’s not all, this waste contributes 8-10% of global emissions, with fruit and veg wasted at a higher rate than any other food group.
Tackling a problem like food waste head on was too overwhelming for our little brains.
By focusing on what we know, apples, and starting to create a movement of using, donating, and saving beautiful orchards, we now feel like we’re starting to make a difference.
We’re leading a movement to link people with too many apples to producers local to them.
Do you have apples you don’t use? check out our national directory to see where you can donate them.
2. Saving traditional orchards

Every drink we make helps protect traditional orchards and rare heritage apple varieties.
Traditional orchards harbour a wide range of wildlife, and they’ve been called the last productive wildernesses in the UK (which we like!).
We’ve lost 90% of our traditional orchards since 1950. So, we’re on a mission to keep these ancient resources thriving, for us and for nature. We’re planting new trees, pruning old ones, and keeping biodiversity-rich land in bloom.
That journey starts at our farm in Cornwall, where we’re restoring a beautiful old orchard, and we’ve planted over 3000 trees, including 250 fruit trees.
