Why a Captain you ask?

Well, aside from the fact we use Captain John Broad apples in our blend, which is a fantastic and underused cider apple from Cornwall, there’s also lots of historical context around the link between land and sea.

Historically in coastal regions, fishing and farming were combined, with individuals working as both fishermen and farmhands. This dual lifestyle allowed combining of resources from both the land and the sea, creating a sustainable way of life. Fisherman would work on the boats, then in between voyages, would work the land to earn money. So, the cider industry would have been strongly supported by fisherman in days gone by. We also think our Captain is pretty cool! and we like beards! and beanies! and captains!
